Porch

Used as the wash porch in the winter and as a summer kitchen during the smoldering days of August and September, the porch houses washing equipment, cream separator, raisin-drying tray, infant carriage and the lamp needed for the Knox's to find their way to the outhouse after dark. Beneath the lamp is a basket holding a seed catalog for reading and toilet paper. (Yes, Scott Paper Company was making toilet paper back then!)
