Sewing Room

The sewing room, once a bedroom before the renovation in 1994, contains a sewing machine authentic to the time period and several items of interest including period clothing, quilts, furniture and a gown donated by the Fletcher family.

Before Mr. Singer invented the sewing machine, it was thought that women were too fragile to use machines.
